Hundreds of Saudi returnees scramble for tickets in Karwan Bazar, Motijheel

Several Hundreds migrant workers thronged in front of Saudi Airlines office in Dhaka’s Karwan Bazar area and Biman Bangladesh Airlines office in Motijheel in the capital on Thursday morning, for collecting tickets to return to their workplaces in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
Earlier, the workers, who have been demonstrating for the third day on Wednesday in Dhaka, withdrew siege after talks with expatriate minister.
However, in a major breakthrough, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has accepted a request from Bangladesh government for extending the visa tenure and work permit for Bangladeshi expatriates willing to return to their respective workplaces.
