Dr Ramesh Chandra Nath, president of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) in Meherpur district branch, died from coronavirus infections at a hospital on Wednesday morning. He was 81.
He breathed his last at Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital (BSMMU) while undergoing treatment.
Ramesh Chandra Nath was also the president of the district Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Unity Parishad is survived by his wife, two sons, a daughter and a host of well wishers to mourn his death.
The BMA president was tested positive for the virus on September 30 and later was admitted to the hospital.
Shahidul Islam, manager of Ramesh Clinic, confirmed the matter to media.
