Bangladesh recorded 19 more deaths from Covid-19 in a daily count, taking the toll to 6,127.

Another 1,733 new cases were also reported in the 24 hours till 8 am Wednesday taking the figure to 425,353, according to the latest data released by the Directorate General of Health Services.

At the same time, 1,715 patients recovered from the disease at home and in hospital care, bringing the total to 343,131.

A total of 14,524 samples were tested at 115 authorized laboratories across the country during the time.

Of the total sample tests in the past 24 hours, 11.93 percent tested positive, while 17.12 percent cases were detected from the total tests conducted so far, the release added.

Among the total infections, 80.67 percent patients have recovered, while 1.44 percent died so far since the first COVID-19 positive cases were reported in the country on March 8.
