Bangladesh national football team’s head coach Jamie Day has been diagnosed with Covid-19.
Bangladesh team manager Amer Khan confirmed the news.
The 41-year-old tested positive on the routine tests carried out on all the players and staff of both Bangladesh and Nepal taken on Saturday. The test result of Jamie Day came out positive on Saturday night, he said.
The British coach is now in isolation in his hotel room. Another test will be carried out on him today,” he added.
However, all the others have tested negative.
In Day’s absence, assistant coach Stuart Watkiss will take charge of the training.
Bangladesh had beaten the visitors 2-0 in the first match on Friday.
