The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case against two, including former Juba League leader GK Shamim, for allegedly embezzling Tk 75 crore for the construction of a new Faculty of Arts and Humanities building at Chittagong University.
Lutful Kabir Chandan, deputy director of the ACC-affiliated Chittagong District Office-1, told reporters on Monday.
He said Fakhrul Islam, assistant director of the ACC-affiliated Chittagong District Office-1, filed the case on Sunday.
Shamim’s associate contractor Fazlul Karim Chowdhury, the managing director of The Builders Engineers Associates Limited, has also been accused.
