Municipal Polls: Mayoral candidates can’t spend more than Tk5 lakh

Mayoral candidates cannot spend more than Tk5 lakh in the upcoming municipal polls.
After issuance of Circular-8 recently, EC fixed the expenditure for the Mayoral candidates.
Among the 329 municipalities of the country, the first phase polls will be held on December 28.
The second phase polls in the 61 municipalities will be held on January 16 while the third phase polls in the 64 municipalities will be held on January 30.
Election Commission (EC) will declare the rest of the election schedule gradually in several phases.
