New road transport act will be enforced from next week: DMP chief

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) commissioner Md Shafiqul Islam on Monday said the new Road Transport Act will be enforced from the next week.

“No fines will be imposed in the first week. In this period, all will be made conscious of the act,” he said.

Shafiqul Islam came up with the remarks while addressing a press conference at the DMP media centre in Minto Road this morning.
