‘Outlawed party leader’ gunned down in Pabna

A regional leader of outlawed Sarbahara Party was gunned down reportedly by his rivals over internal feud at Chaithupir Char in Bera upazila of Pabna district on Tuesday night, reports UNB.

The deceased was identified as Atier Sardar, 28, son of Abdus Sattar of Aminpur in Bera upazila.

Goutam Kumar Biswas, additional superintendent of Pabna police, said some people from Sarbahara Party approached Atier while he was sitting at a shop at a local market around 8:30pm.

They took him out of the shop and shot him dead.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to a local hospital morgue for autopsy.

Police suspected that Atier might have killed over inter feud among his party men.

He was wanted in several cases including that of murder, police said.
