Covid-19: Bangladesh records highest deaths in past 101 days

Bangladesh on Saturday recorded 39 Covid-19 deaths, the highest number of daily deaths in the past 101 days.
The country’s death toll from the virus now stands at 8,869, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The latest day’s infection rate stands 14.90%, which was 13.69% a day before. The death rate stands at 1.50%.
In the meantime, 3,674 people tested positive for Covid-19. The number of novel coronavirus cases in the country now stands at 591,806.
