BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed hope that the government will give permission to take Khaleda Zia abroad for her better treatment.
He came up with the hope while attending a programme on Thursday morning.
Earlier on Wednesday night, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s family sought permission from the government to take her abroad for better treatment.
Later, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said they have received the application and are considering it positively.
“We sent the application to the law ministry for its opinion. Upon getting its view, we will make the decision,” he said.
He further said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is very considerate on such issues, and this request is being considered positively.
