The court has ordered to seize the property of four fugitives in a case filed under the Digital Security Act on charges of propaganda against Bangabandhu, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Liberation War and Coronavirus.
The four accused are Zulkarnain alias Sami, the protagonist of the report published on Al Jazeera about the former army chief, Tasneem Khalil, a Swedish expatriate Bangladeshi journalist and the editor of Netro News, blogger Ashiq Imran and Wahidun Nabi Swapan.
Nazrul Islam Shamim, special public prosecutor of the concerned tribunal, said this on Tuesday (October 19).
Earlier on Monday (October 18th), Dhaka Cyber Tribunal judge Assam Jaglul Hossain passed the order.
