US sanctions on RAB officials unfortunate: Law minister

Law Minister Anisul Huq on Sunday said issuing restrictions on seven former and current high officials of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) by the United States from entering that country is “unfortunate”.
He made the remark while replying queries from reporters after attending as chief guest a meeting on the occasion of inauguration of the 26th judicial administration training course for district and sessions judges and metropolitan sessions judges in Dhaka.
Mentioning that there is no extrajudicial killing in Bangladesh, the minister said allegation on which the US issued the restrictions is “imaginary”.
