Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni said that regular educational activities at the secondary level will start soon as the Covid-19 situation has improved significantly.
The minister made the announcement after inaugurating orientation activities of the new academic year of class XI at Dhaka College on Wednesday morning.
“The studies have suffered a lot in the last two years and all of us have to give all out effort to overcome the damages,” she said.
She expressed hope that the teachers and students will try their best in this regard.
Meanwhile, the primary schools across the country resumed in-person classes today with strict Covid-19 protocols in place.
In-person classes at all secondary, higher secondary and university-level educational institutions resumed on February 22.
The government announced the closure of all schools and colleges in the country on January 21 amid renewed surge in Covid-19 cases due to the new Omicron variant.
