The family members of the popular film actor and MP Akbar Hossain Khan Pathan alias Farooque have been bothered again over the death rumour of the uncontested thespian.

A rumour was dispersed on social media platform Facebook early Sunday that ‘noted actor Farooque no more among us’ although he was receiving treatment at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore for past few months.

This incident made the venerated actor’s family members surprised and bothered.

Farhana Pathan, wife of Farooque, said over phone that he is receiving treatment in the hospital. By the mercy of Allah, his physical condition is better now.

She asked people not to spread or heed to rumours of his husband’s death.

Farhana also requested countrymen to pray for the recovery of the actor.

Earlier on the evening of April 8 last year, rumors of his death spread on the social media.

Farooque was elected MP from Dhaka-17 constituency as an Awami League candidate during the last parliamentary election in 2018.
