Marking the opening of Padma Bridge, different TV channels have arranged day-long programmes today.

A number of special programmes will be aired on Bangladesh Television (BTV). The channel will broadcast the inaugural programme of Padma Bridge live. There will also be musical and poetry reciting shows on Padma Bridge, which will be aired live from BTV’s studio.

In addition, documentary programmes, discussion, 10 filler and two filler songs have been made on Padma Bridge. The two songs have been penned by Mokam Ali Khan while the music composed and directed by Milton Khandaker.

Noted singer Samina Chowdhury sang the song titled ‘Padmar Upor Padma Setu Ekhon To Ar Mukher Golpo Noy’. Singers Akhi Alamgir, Konal, Jhilik, Sabbir, Kishore, and Rajib sang the song titled ‘Padma Setu Bijoy Gatha Itihashe Bismay’.

Channel i will air the Bangla film ‘Padma Nadir Majhi’ at 3.05pm. Directed by Goutam Ghose, the movie stars Raisul Islam Asad, Roopa Ganguly and others. A special documentary programme ‘Padmar Buke Banglar Joy’ will be aired at 7.50pm. The programme is planned, directed and hosted by Shykh Seraj.
