The operation of the Supreme Court resumed today after the end of total 44-day government holidays, weekly holidays and court vacation.
A four-judge apex court bench headed by Chief Justice Hasan Foez Siddique started hearing cases at 9am and went into recess at 9.30am. Later senior lawyers led by president and secretary of the Supreme Court Bar Association called on the Chief Justice and other judges of the Supreme Court.
After the meeting, the 55 benches of the High Court Division started hearing cases from 1.30pm.
