Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has revoked their decision in terms of blocking mobile phone operators’ signals up to a kilometre from the borders.
The telecom authorities issued a letter through email to all the mobile operators of the country on early Wednesday in this connection.
Md Sohel Rana, deputy director of BTRC’s spectrum management division sent the email to the mobile operators, according to media report.
“In this connection, please reinstate operations of the BTSs (Base Trans-Receiver Stations) near the Bangladesh-India border sites immediately,” the email reads.
