Bangladesh is aiming for a semifinal berth of SAFF Championship 2023 as they are taking on Bhutan in the last Group B match at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru on Wednesday (June 28).
Meanwhile, Bangladesh took lead against Bhutan 3-1 at the half time, according to media reports.
It’s a must-win game for Bangladesh, who revived their tournament with a comeback 3-1 win over Maldives in their second Group game.
Earlier Bangladesh lost their opening group match to World No. 99 Lebanon, who put up a clinical show to win the game 2-0 through goals from Hassan Maatouk and Khalil Bader. Bangladesh looked all the way out of the SAFF Championship by the halftime of the second game too as they trailed 0-1.
