Legendary actress Shabnam starred both in Bangladesh and Pakistan films.

Due to her outstanding contribution to Pakistani films, Shabnam will be given Sitara-e-Imtiaz Award.

Shabnam is called as a ‘great heroine’ in Pakistan. Due to her excellent performance in the Pakistan film industry, the actress will be given the third highest private award ‘Sitara-e-Imtiaz’.

As per the Pakistani newspaper Pakistan Observer, Shabnam will be given the award on March 23 next year.

Shabnam in her childhood learned dance at Bulbul Lalitakala Academy. The actress also worked at many Panjabi movies.

She made her acting debut in 1956 but achieved fame with the film ‘Harano Din’ in 1961. The following year, the actress starred in an Urdu film named ‘Chanda’ which brought fame for her career.

The actress also got the highest Nigar Award for 13 times.
