The hospitalisation of dengue patients has crossed 1.5 lakh this year in Bangladesh as the country reported hospitalisation of 2,944 patients in 24 hours ending Monday morning.
During the 24 hour period, a total of 11 more deaths were reported from dengue, raising the fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease in Bangladesh to 741 this year.
And, with the latest infection, a total of 151,272 dengue patients were so far hospitalised in the country in the ongoing year.
Of them, 1,40,715 patients were recovered from dengue so far, according to the Directorate General of Health Services.
Of the new patients in the past 24 hours, 967 were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka and the rest outside it, according to DGHS.
A total of 9,816 dengue patients, including 4,207 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
In the first 10 days of September, the Aedes mosquito-borne Dengue has claimed the lives of 137 people across the country. 24,520 cases were reported during the same period.
