Bangladesh have won the toss and chose to field first against New Zealand counterparts in the opener of the three match one-day international series at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Thursday.
The home side has opted for two specialist pacers alongside the similar number of spinners.
Veteran duo Tamim Iqbal and Mahmudullah along with Soumya Srakar have been incorporated in the playing XI as they will resume their international cricket following a long pause.
Tamim has played his last against Afghanistan in Chattogram in July while Mahmudullah has featured against England in March while Soumya has played against the same side back in 2021 in Wellington.
