A group of leaders and activists of the main opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party have entered its central office at Naya Paltan in Dhaka Thursday morning, two months and 13 days after the office was closed by the law enforcement agencies.
The group, led by the party senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, broke open the lock of the main entrance of the central office building and entered the office.
The leaders and activists of the party entered the office at about 10:45am, hours before the party is scheduled to hold a media presentation on ‘7th January Farcical Election’ at the central office.
The presentation will be held at 3:00pm, said the party chairperson’s press wing official Shamsuddin Didar.
The party standing committee members Abdul Moyeen Khan, Nazrul Islam Khan and Selima Rahman will present in the programme.
The opposition central office was locked since October 29 following the deadly attack on its Dhaka grand rally on October 28, 2023.
