Covid takes one more life this year

Bangladesh witnessed another death from COVID-19 during the last 24 hours as of Sunday morning, raising the number of fatalities to two this year.
As a result, total deaths of the country reached 29,479 so far after the new death case.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), 21 people more affected from the viral disease across the country during this period.
A total of 418 samples were tested across the country, for a positivity rate of 5.02 per cent, it said.
Meanwhile, country’s total number of coronavirus cases reached 20,46,599 and the total number of recoveries reached 20,10,052, it said.
Bangladesh reported its first Coronavirus case on March 8, 2020, while its first death was on March 18 that year.
