Main opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party on Thursday skipped the rising day programme hosted by Dhaka Metropolitan Police for citizens.
DMP’s joint commissioner Biplob Kumar Sarker told New Age that they had invited some BNP leaders, including Kaiser Kamal and Zahid Hossain.
BNP leader AZM Zahid Hossain said that he did not receive any invitation from the DMP authorities in this regard.
BNP’s legal affairs secretary Barrister Kayser Kamal said that in their opinion, the police were not serving the mass people; rather they were serving only the ruling party men.
