Bashundhara Housing allocates plots by lottery

Bashundhara Housing on Saturday allocated plots of the newly developed Block Q under its Baridhara project by lottery transparently.

Owners picked the position of their plots by the lottery at a programme at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital.

Some 700 plots out of total 2,000 in the new block have been allocated to the owners at the programme.

Block Q is located adjacent to the residential project being developed for the army officials on bank of the Balu River.

Bashundhara Housing is a brand of East West Property Development (EWPD), real estate unit of Bashundhara Group, one of the leading business conglomerates in the country.

EWPD Deputy Managing Directors Towhidul Islam and Abul Kalam Shamim, Media Advisor Mohammad Abu Tayeb, Senior Executive Directors Biddut Kumar Bhowmik and Liakat Hossain, Executive Director Touhidul Islam were present on the occasion.

Bashundhara Housing Deputy Managing Director Abul Kalam Shamim welcomed and congratulated all the owners of the plots to become members of Bashundhara family.

“We took time to develop the new block. There are several causes behind this. As a civil engineer, I can say that the plot in Block Q will bring benefits for constructing your dreamt house,” added Shamim.

Shamim also mentioned that the price of Bashundhara plot has increased 200 times in the last 25 years as the company extended its continuous support to the plot owners.

The official informed that the Block Q has been developed maintaining standard according to the government’s Detailed Area Plan (DAP) for the capital.

Two international schools for boys and girls will be developed near the project.

Bashundhara Group is also constructing a state-of-the-art sports complex in its residential area.

Senior Executive Director Biddut Kumar Bhowmik said Bashundhara Housing has been working relentlessly for solving the residential problems of the people in the capital.
