Foreign minister Hasan Mahmud on Monday said that Bangladesh prime minister Sheikh Hasina would go to China on a bilateral visit from July 8 to July 11.
He made the announcement after a meeting with visiting Chinese minister Liu Jianchao at a city hotel.
Jianchao, minister of the international department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, told reporters after the meeting that a number of treaties were expected to be signed during Bangladesh prime minister’s visit to China within two weeks.
Hasina returned home on Saturday evening after concluding her two-day state visit to India at the invitation of her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.
