ACC sues Rajuk director, wife for amassing illegal wealth

The Anti-Corruption Commission on Wednesday filed two cases against Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha director Mubarak Hossain and his wife Shahana Parveen on charges of amassing illegal wealth.
The ACC assistant director Asif Al Mahmud filed the cases with its Integrated District Office in Dhaka-1, said ACC Public Relations Officer Aktarul Islam.
Shahana was named the main accused and her husband was named the second accused in one of the cases. The other case was filed against Mubarak Hossain.
According to the case statements, Mubarak amassed wealth worth Tk 41.46 lakh beyond a known source of income and Shahana, although a housewife, amassed Tk 1.58 crore in illegal wealth.
