Government officials and employees were seen leaving Bangladesh Secretariat in Dhaka on Tuesday at noon over security concerns.
All government, semi-government, autonomous and semi-autonomous offices, private establishments and educational institutions reopened on Tuesday as curfew was withdrawn at 6:00am on the day.
The Inter Services Public Relations Directorate issued a press release in this regard on Monday night hours after Sheikh Hasina resigned as prime minister and fled to India amid a mass uprising led by student protesters.
Many officials came to the secretariat in the capital on Tuesday morning.
Around 12:00noon many were seen leaving the secretariat on foot or taking cars.
Some of the officials confirmed that they were leaving over security concerns.
