A case was filed against Bangladesh’s ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina and four others for allegedly abducting a lawyer from Uttara in Dhaka in 2015.
Other accused in the case are — former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan, law minister Anisul Huq, former inspector general of police AKM Sahidul Haque and former Rapid Action Battalion director general Benazir Ahmed.
Meanwhile, 20 to 25 unnamed RAB officials were also made accused in the case.
The victim, Supreme Court lawyer Sohel Rana, filed the case with the court of Dhaka metropolitan magistrate Farzana Shakila Sumu Chowdhury on Wednesday.
In the case statement, he said that he was held hostage for six months and three days after he was picked up by law enforcers from Uttara 5 no Sector on February 10 in 2015.
