Police recovered the decomposed body of a deputy secretary from his house in the capital’s Bailey Road area on Wednesday night.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Kader Chowdhury, 60, deputy secretary at labour and employment ministry.
The body of the deceased was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital at around 2:00 am on early Thursday after he was found dead inside his house in Bailey Road area in Wednesday evening, reports a correspondent of the daily sun.
The body has been kept at the DMCH’s morgue, the correspondent said quoting Bachchu Mia, in-charge of DMCH police outpost.
On information, deceased Abdul Kader Chowdhury used to live alone on the third floor of 1/5 no house at Bailey Road. Local residents informed police after getting acute stench from the house and law enforcers found the body at around 6:30 pm.
It was primarily guessed that Abdul Kader Chowdhury died at his house nearly 5 to 6 days ago.
