5 to die for killing Khulna schoolteacher

A Khulna Speedy Trial Tribunal on Sunday sentenced five persons to death for killing a schoolteacher in 2018.
Judge Md Nazrul Islam Khan, Speedy Trial Tribunal of Khulna, handed down the verdict on Sunday noon.
The convicted persons are Kazi Murad, Kazi Farhad Hossain, Md Jakir, Kazi Rawnakul Islam Rini and Saiful.
Of them, only Jakir remained fugitive, the rest were present in the court during the verdict.
According to the case statement, victim Kazi Tasfin Hossain Tanoy, 32, son of Kazi Ferdaous Hossain Tota, hailed from Mujgunni Main road of Khalispur upazila, was murdered by convicts on August 28, 2018.
Later, victim’s father filed a case in this connection with Khalispur Police Station.
