Two foreigners were sent back to their respective home countries from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Tuesday as Bangladesh has already suspended all kinds of on-arrival visas as a precautionery measure to check coronavirus infection.
The foreigners came from the USA and the Ivory Coast.
Confirming the news, Group Captain AHM Touhid-ul-Ahsan, also director of the Airport said, “The government has suspended on-arrival visas till March 31. These two foreigners came without any visa and that is why they have been sent back on the same flights.”
Earlier on March 16, a flight of Qatar Airways landed at Dhaka Airport with 96 passengers from Italy and other European countries.
