Bangladesh on Sunday recorded 35 more Covid-19 deaths and 3,908 new infections.
The country’s death toll from the virus now stands at 8,904, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
With the 3,908 new cases, the number of novel coronavirus cases in the country now stands at 595,714.
The infection rate in the last 24 hours is 17.65% and the death rate stands at 1.49%.
Meanwhile, 22,136 samples were tested in 224 labs across the country in the past 24 hours. A total of 4,588,830 samples have been tested in the country so far.
Also, 2,019 patients were declared free of Covid-19 during the same period, raising the total number of recoveries to 535,641 with a 89.97% recovery rate.
