Bodies of total 44 people, who were killed in devastating
Baily Road restaurant
fire, have been handed over to their families.
Last two bodies are still at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (
DMCH) morgue. Those will be handed over after identified them through DNA test.
The hospital police camp officer in-charge inspector Bachchu Miah confirmed this to media on Saturday.
Till Friday evening, 40 bodies were handed over to the family members. Later journalist Ovisruti Shastri’s body, which has been kept at Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute in the capital, has been handed over to her family.
On Saturday morning, the bodies of Customs official Shah Jalal Uddin, his wife, and his 4-year-child, who went for dinner at Kachhi Bhai in the Baily Road and later burnt down in the devastating fire, were handed over.
